  • Selected person needs experience with and a comfort level with computers and office equipment and eye for detail and process, and an organized and responsive work ethic. Selected person will maintain an information system kept in the Access program, so experience with program is a plus. The selected person will integrate a variety of scientific reviews into a human risk assessment (which will be approved by an EPA employee). The selected person will also do dietary exposure reviews.
  • Experience required with Windows, Facsimile, Copying Machine, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access
Duties:

Review food tolerance application for safety recommendation. Determine residue level (ppm) for use in dietary software to determine safety for food and water. Analyze occupational and residential reviews for safety by these routes of exposure. Review toxicology and Food Quality Protection Act (FQPA) for additional protective factors. Integrate residue chemistry, dietary, occupational and residential exposure and toxicology information into a risk assessment. A risk assessment reflecting all these parameters is distilled into an accurate reflection of the Agency’s position. Ultimately this risk assessment is reviewed and approved by an EPA employee.

  • Annual confidential business information (CBI) training.
  • Special CBI classes are held for those that need the training. EPA staff will train selected person in human health risk assessment.
