Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physical Science OR Minimum of 5 year(s) of experience in scientific-related occupation
- Experience required with Windows, Facsimile, Copying Machine, MS Word, WordPerfect, MS Excel
Duties:
Perform general inspections to ensure compliance with Emrgency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) and assist in processing enforcement actions accordingly. Participated in compliance assistance and outreach activities to assist subject facilities improve knowledge of compliance.
- Conducts on-site inspections to verify compliance with regulations, writes inspection reports. 55%
- Reviews inspection reports and assists in preparing enforcement actions, as necessary. 25%
- Provides technical and administrative assistance to the regulated community 10%
- Conducts general information and outreach activities; provides general support to EPCRA Program. 5%
- Provides technical/administrative assistance to EPCRA Enforcement Section for other duties as assigned. 5%

EPA New Inspector's Workshop
- Overnight travel: Travel for on-site inspections is required. Travel usually ocurs at intervals of 3-5 days per week for three or four weeks throughout the year.
- Air travel anticipated: Enrollees have the flexibility to travel by air and rent vehicles to conduct on-site inspections.
- Rental cars: 15 - 20 days per year

- Health and Safety Considerations: Enrollee will participate in classroom instruction to meet requirements.
