Electronic Time Sheets are becoming a reality for enrollees!

In December of last year, NOWCC began a pilot program to introduce electronic time sheets into our operations.  Heading up the program is Barbara Bronislawska-Canada from the NOWCC headquarters staff.  Over the past eight months Barbara has been refining an excellent training program to introduce electronic time sheets to enrollees and monitors, with the long-term goal of fully integrating this time-saving system into our program operations.  With Barbara’s guidance, NOWCC has developed the capacity to provide training via conference calls, in-person hands on training, or through e-mail direction and support.  (NOWCC has transitioned its internal payroll process to the same electronic timesheets system.)

Since the end of May, 2008, all 191 ACES Enrollees have been using the electronic time sheet system, “EZ Labor Manager Program.”   With permission from EPA, in June Barbara began a new pilot program for SEE Program Enrollees.  Currently, 56 SEE enrollees from the Office of Pesticides in Virginia are using the electronic time sheets.  If the pilot proceeds as planned (and we recognize there are opportunities for ‘bumps in the road’), Barbara hopes that all SEE enrollees working with NOWCC will have made the transition from paper to electronic time sheets by the end of 2009.

We will keep you apprised of progress on this exciting development.
